National Police Week 2013: PGPD Honors Our Fallen Law Enforcement Officers

It’s a time to pause and honor fellow police officers who made the ultimate sacrifice.  Members of the Prince George's County Police Department will take part in several events scheduled during National Police Week which runs from May 12-18, 2013.  Law enforcement officers from across the country will gather in Washington, DC to pay tribute to fallen heroes.

Procession will leave RFK Stadium/Armory (19th and East Capitol Street, NE) at 10:30 am for the ride to the Memorial for wreath-laying ceremony and presentations 11:00 am -12:00 pm

25th Annual Candlelight Vigil

Philadelphia to DC Memorial Run at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial 
Tuesday, May 14, 2013 
The Prince George’s County leg of the run leaves the College Park Holiday Inn at 9:00 am
10000 Baltimore Ave, College Park MD 

Stop at District 1 Police Station at 10:00 am for a ceremony honoring fallen officer POFC Adrian Morris.  Guests will include Chief Mark Magaw and local leaders.

End at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial at 12:00 pm

32nd Annual National Peace Officers’ Memorial Service
