PGPD Honors Fallen Officers on National Peace Officers Memorial Day

Posted on 10:27 AM by Unknown

In 1962, President Kennedy proclaimed May 15th as National Peace Officers Memorial Day.  Today, President Barack Obama addressed the thousands of people gathered at today’s service at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, DC. The Prince George’s County Police Department would like to pause and reflect upon the lives, service, and sacrifice of the 52 men and women who have selflessly given their lives in service to the citizens of Prince George's County.  We seek to pay tribute to those who have gone before us.  Today and always, we remember and honor the fallen heroes of Prince George's County, Maryland.
