PGPD Investigates Robbery in Chillum

The Prince George’s County Police Department is searching for the two suspects seen in the above surveillance photographs who are wanted for an armed robbery outside a Chillum bank. The incident took place in the 6400 block of New Hampshire Avenue around 5:30 am on November 5, 2012.

The preliminary investigation reveals the suspects approached two victims as they were attempting to deposit a check at the ATM at the Bank of America branch. One of the suspects pointed a gun at the victims and demanded money and property. The second suspect stole one of the victim’s wallets and car keys. The suspects then ran away. The victims were not hurt.

The first suspect is described as a black male with a light complexion between the ages of 16 and 21, 5’6” – 5’9” and 165 pounds. He was wearing a green hooded jacket, dark jeans, green Nike Foamposites, purple gloves, a black ski mask and was armed with a semi-automatic handgun. The second suspect is described as a black male, 16 to 18 years old, 5’5” – 5’7”, 155 pounds, a black Starter t-shirt worn over a black sweatshirt, black jeans, a black baseball cap with white designs, a black ski mask, and purple Nike Foamposites.

Anyone with information on this robbery is asked to call the Prince George’s County Police Department’s District I Investigative Section at 301-699-2601. Callers can remain anonymous by calling Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS. You may also text “PGPD plus your crime tip” to CRIMES (274637) on your cell phone or go to www.pgpolice.org and submit a tip online. Crime Solvers is offering a cash reward for tips that lead to an arrest and indictment in this case.
