The Prince George's County Police Department issued a violation notice to the owners of the Stardust Lounge ordering their business closed on February 8, 2013.
The Stardust Lounge is located in the 5400 block of Marlboro Pike in District Heights. The adult entertainment club had been operating without the required use and occupancy permit. The business was also the scene of a shooting on February 6, 2013. That shooting presented an imminent danger to the safety and welfare of the public.
On February 6, 2013, around 2:55 am, police officers responded to the Stardust Lounge for a shooting. Officers arrived on scene and found a man in the parking lot suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The preliminary investigation suggests the man was the victim of a robbery. Investigative developments led detectives to identify a suspect. Detectives subsequently obtained a warrant for 30 year-old Marcus Antonio McCray, of the 200 block of Newcomb Street in Southeast Washington. McCray is charged with attempted first degree murder, first degree assault, and related charges.
