PGPD Arrests 13 Drunk Drivers Over Holiday Weekend

Posted on 3:09 PM by Unknown

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s participation in a statewide drunk driving enforcement operation called Project SOLO (Saving Our Loved Ones) continued over St. Patrick's Day weekend.

On March 15, 16 and 17, 2013, patrol officers focused their enforcement along the University Boulevard corridor and on Route 1 near the University of Maryland. They also patrolled Pennsylvania Avenue, Marlboro Pike, Silver Hill Road, Branch Avenue and Allentown  Road. During the more than 350 traffic stops beginning Friday evening, patrol officers made 13 DUI arrests, nine criminal and drug-related arrests and issued more than 250 traffic citations.

The PGPD will continue this enforcement on known high drinking and driving nights. The next scheduled enforcement is set for May 3rd.
