PGPD Arrests Suspects in Murder of Antwann Massey

Posted on 10:40 AM by Unknown

The Prince George’s County Police Department arrested two suspects for the murder of then 34-year-old Antwann Tirelle Massey in Suitland.  The suspects are identified as 26-year-old Jeffrey Allen Cutler Jr of the 5800 block of Falkland Place in Capitol Heights, and 27-year-old Houston Donald Washington of the 1500 block of V Street in Southeast Washington.

On July 31, 2010, at approximately 12:54 am, patrol officers were called to the 3800 block of Regency Parkway in Suitland for the report of a shooting.  Upon arrival, patrol officers found Massey suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.  He was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The investigation reveals Massey was shot and killed during a residential robbery.  Massey reportedly sold snacks from his home.  Detectives believe money from the snack sales was the motive in this case.  Cutler and Washington entered the residence and demanded money.  During the robbery, Washington shot Massey multiple times.  Evidence collected from the scene ultimately led detectives to establish Cutler and Washington as suspects.

Cutler was arrested at his home on March 1, 2013.  Washington was already in custody on unrelated charges, and served with the warrant on February 28, 2013.  Cutler and Washington are both charged with first degree murder.  Both are currently in the custody of the Department of Corrections on a no bond status.
