Family, friends and law enforcement officers from around the country came to honor a fallen hero today as DeKalb County (GA) Police Officer Ivorie Klusmann was laid to rest. The internment was held at the Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton, Maryland. Police Officer Klusmann will be remembered for his enthusiasm and devotion to his family, career, community and fellow police officers.
The Prince George's County Police Department's Special Operations Division provided full honors for the fallen hero, who was involved in a fatal single vehicle crash while responding to assist a fellow officer.
Officer Klusmann served with the DeKalb County Police Department for 10 months and was assigned to the East Precinct. Officer Klusmann is survived by his two young children. His cousin is Prince George’s County Police Officer DeWayne Harris.
We are forever grateful for Officer Klusmann’s service and sacrifice.
